This tour will lead you through the streets of east Belfast considering the lives of the thousands of shipyard men who lived and worked here in Belfast’s Victorian heyday.   We consider public art and public baths, barriers and bridges, lifestyles and legacy - all in the shadow of the iconic Harland & Wolff cranes.  Illustrated with contemporary pictures and poetry, this tour will give you an insight into the everyday lives of the men who built ships to wear out the oceans
