The Ulster Museum, located in the Botanic Gardens to the south of Belfast City Centre, has around 8,000 square metres of public display space and galleries, telling Ireland’s story through its treasures including the magnificent hoard recovered from the Spanish Armada. Originally founded in 1821, the Museum’s collection has been growing since and the building has undergone a number of extensions and refurbishments. This introductory tour will orientate you and point out some of the key exhibits and artefacts: you will then be free to browse the museum at your leisure including its restaurant and shop.
