The Ards Peninsula is a beautiful area of east County Down with a richly-layered history and breathtaking scenery.  This tour will explore the Ards through the Ages including its geology, its settlement patterns (from St Patrick to the Vikings, from the Anglo-Normans to the Ulster-Scots), its people and some of its historic buildings and sites.  The tour includes morning coffee in a beautiful location, lunch (with optional Irish coffee), and afternoon tea.  Expect poetry and photographic opportunities galore on this enjoyable day trip.
